I'm SHO, a weekend hiker based in Tokyo. This site shares trails I have actually walked — from day hikes you can reach by train to multi-day routes in the Japan Alps — plus a few adventures beyond Japan.

Every trip report says when I hiked it, and practical information (transport, huts, prices) says when it was last checked. Conditions change, so always confirm with official sources before you go.

This site is also an experiment: most of the editing, design and site operations are done with AI, while every trip and every photo is my own.
